The JAfrican® Journey

Hello everyone! My name is Samara I’m 20 yrs old. I started my journey with JAfrican® four years ago, and it was one of the best decision I've made in my fitness journey. I'm excited to share a bit of my experience with you. My journey started exactly in May 2014, when I attended my first JAfrican® class. I was just about to turn 16 and weighted around 160 lbs. I decided that I needed to make a change not only for my physical health, but mental health as well. I decided that I would get down to at least 135lbs. JAfrican® helped me to reach my goal and others just like me. When I started this journey four years ago I had to make the decision that this will be a life long journey and I will have to stay dedicated and discipline myself and the program. With that being said, and with the hard work that I put in over the last four years, I was able to not only meet my goal but exceed my goal and today I'm currently weighing in at 130lbs. I have a wonderful support system from my family, my wonderful trainer and my JAfrican®Fitness family. Over the last four years my body has changed drastically. I'm toner, my endurance is higher than it has ever been, and most of all I'm happier and stronger. I'm in a better place mentally and spiritually. This was not a easy journey but I did it and so can you. The only person who can stop you from reaching your goals is you. When I started  with JAfrican® Fitness 7 years ago, I was at a weight of 130lbs. For me that was too much weight on my body. I had to make some real life changes. I can testify and say that with hard work and dedication I was able to get to 100 lbs and I've keep it off for 7 years. I'm now a JAfrican® Fitness instructor and I teach at least 4-5 classes a week. Through this journey, I kept a positive mind set, I had to be disciplined, and most of all I WANTED IT. I wanted to see how far I could go. 7 years later, I'm still meeting my goal and so can you.
